MAY 2016
Upon returning I started my training at State Farm and find I love my job! They are so good to their employees!
I also had a wonderful time and break from my life when Lion Dan & I went to the District 2-X1 2016 Convention at Wyndham Gardens. For those who don’t get out to them you are missing so much. This year we went to Saturdays Events. Lots of pic- tures to look through from my cell phone and if you find Bobby’s photo’s he has lots of nice shots. I took some of the Bingo Baskets, the can food Putt Putt Golf, and then miscella- neous pictures. Enjoy!
Lastly I have hidden our little friend again! Find him for a spe- cial treat at the next meeting.
May Day!
What a busy month April was for me. I am running a tad late with this Edition. I feel like I have lived an entire year in just one month.
I was going to try to get to the Texas Lions Camp this year but, think I need some rest to catch up on my health. So to those who are going.. Kudos to you. Definitely next year for me.
Dan and I went to the DFW In- dian Banquet on the 9th of April. They were motivated on raising funds. I felt a bit awkward since it was a bit out of our budget. However, it was a great experi- ence and taught me about moti- vating the audience. I misplaced my photos and am still struggling with getting to the photos Bobby

takes. One day I shall master it. LOL
I then got to drive out to Las Vegas
PELC Lion Pride
for my daughters wedding. WOW! I wish I could have gone there 30 years ago to enjoy more of the strip. Lots of walking.. I did win just enough to play for several hours each night. On my way there I drove through sev- eral storms and missed a Tor- nado that was on the Highway just minutes away. I also stopped to remember parts of Route 66.

John Payton from Plano Juvenile Court
What a great guest speaker. And what a pleasure it is to learn that he helps teach the youth of today about true community awareness. When Judge John Payton has to find projects for those youth dealing with the conse- quences of their actions, he matches them up with com- munity service projects that
end up leaving a bit of their hearts with the area. He talked about 3 young ladies who were assigned flooring for Habitat for Humanity, who ended up creating a small side business to help put them through college in the few years after their ser- vice assignment. We need him as a Lion!!
