Notts Youth Football League
Minutes of the Annual General Meeting
Tuesday 6th June 2023, At the Stadium Leisure Club, 7.30pm
1. TO RECEIVE & CONFIRM THE MINUTES OF THE PRECEDING ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The minutes of the previous Annual General Meeting, held on Tuesday 7th June 2022, were read
and confirmed and proposed by: - West Bridgford Colts and seconded by Selston. Thankyou
Both.
All were in favour.
2. TO CONSIDER ANY BUSINESS ARISING THEREFROM
There were no matters arising.
3. TO RECEIVE & ADOPT THE ANNUAL REPORT, BALANCE SHEET & STATEMENT OF
ACCOUNTS- Clare Dennis.
3.1 Chairman’s Remarks
The Chairman addressed member Clubs and referred to his remarks which had been issued to
clubs. He
Commented on the situation of the fixtures practically returning the normal for the season just
ended Which was good to see. The return of the KO Cup Competitions had also been welcomed
with some really good Finals being witnessed. League membership had again increased, and will
no doubt increase again for the coming 2023/24 season. As always it is imperative that Clubs get
away to a good start to the season and also to complete their fixtures by the appropriate date at
the end of the season. Disciplinary issues continued to be a problem, for a small majority of our
Clubs, these have been dealt with accordingly by the League, the Notts FA, and the FA.
He finally praised the Management Committee members for all their hard work in getting this
season completed.
3.2 Balance Sheet & Statement of Accounts
The Balance Sheet and Statement of Accounts for the financial year end 2022/23. were presented to
member clubs. Ruddington Village Colts proposed that these accounts be adopted as a true record. This
was seconded by Priory Celtic. and unanimously approved. Thankyou Both.
4. ELECTION OF CLUBS AS RECOMMENDED BY THE MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE
All Teams joining from the YEL U14’s, plus New Teams to the league were unanimously accepted
by member clubs for the ensuing season 23/24.
5. CONSTITUTION OF THE COMPETITION FOR ENSUING SEASON
It was agreed that the constitution of the competition would be for divisions of ten to twelve, if possible.
For the following age groups:
Under 15 Saturday & Under 15 Sunday
Under 16 Saturday & Under 16 Sunday
Under 17/18 Saturday & Under 17/18 Sunday
The Management Committee was given the mandate to arrange the divisions, to take into account the
number of teams entered in each age group and by their ability. Clubs were required to complete a fixture
planning questionnaire to assist committee with the arrangement of divisions and fixtures.
Teams must ensure that they have indicated through the Registration Portal, their availability in and
around School Holidays.
