Gen Z Covers: Hobbies!

HOBBIES, everyone has at

least one of them. Whether it’s
singing or collecting stamps,
nearly every individual partici-
pates in something that makes

him or her unique. Nowadays
with modern technology, tons of
individuals pursue interests such
as creating blogs, “vlogging” on

YouTube, and following the latest
TikTok trends.

What isn’t often discussed,

though, is how healthy hobbies
lead to good mental health.
According to multiple sources,
different kinds of hobbies can

lead to many kinds of results.
For instance, my hobby of
poetry writing is what helped
me improve as an artist, and it

even introduced me to another
pastime: songwriting!

Some hobbies can become actual

professions. Many musicians,
athletes, and businessmen began
their passions as hobbies. Mark
Zuckerberg started Facebook

among his fellow classmates at
Harvard University as a way to
get them all acquainted: nowa-
days, Facebook is the largest

social media network in the
world. Bill Gates spent a lot of
time at Harvard’s computer lab,
where he also started developing

one of the most used computer
programs of all time: Microsoft.

In general, pursuing something

that helps you grow as a person
is always healthy. As long as your
hobbies are safe for your phys-
ical and mental health: have fun!
