at the NACAC Senior
Championships in
San Jose, Costa Rica

LAST Tuesday August 4 and Wednesday August 5 a delegation

left Aruba and Holland to go to Costa Rica where they will be
representing our country in Athletics (track and field sports) at
the 2015 NACAC Senior Championships which were held from
August 7 to August 9 2015.

Aruba is represented by the following Aruban
athletes:

Reginald Kock is participating in the 100 and 200 meter sprint,
Shane Nedd participating in Shot Put, Justice Drijschor participat-
ing in the 800 and 1500 meter run, Ronald Starring participating
in the 5000 meter run and Quincy Breell participating in the long
jump. From Holland Anthony Rasmijn is participating in the 200
and 400 meter sprint.

After many years Aruba finally took a large selection of athletes
to participate in the 2015 NACAC Championship. NACAC stands
for the North America, Central America and Caribbean Senior
Championships.

Some results that are already in show that Anthony Rasmijn ran
a personal best of 48.53 seconds in the 400 meter sprint which is
extremely close to the national record of 48.32 seconds.

In the 200 meter sprint Anthony Rasmijn
marks a time of 22.54 seconds which is
also a personal best for the athlete.

Reginald Kock marked a time of 11.12 second in the 100 meter
sprint which is also a personal best for him and in the 200 meter
sprint he marked 23.05 seconds.
Justice Drijschor ran the first 800 meter climb run in 2.01. 63. So
2 minutes and 01.63 second which is an impressive time since he
is only 17 years old and since the national record is 1.59.01. So 1
minute and 59.01 seconds, this record was set by Anthony Rasmijn.

AAB Management wishes our athletes all kind of success in Costa
Rica and will inform us as soon as the results on our other athletes
are in.
