ZOMBIES x DMZ
Modern Warfare 3 will feature a large-scale extrac-
tion gameplay for Zombies instead of the traditional

round-based experience.

This will be a large map where players can participate

in a mashup of DMZ extraction mode and Zombies
and can be played solo or with a squad in a PvE
environment. Matches feature up to eight squads of
three, and players can join forces with other teams.

Additionally, players can select freeplay mode and
load into matches to defeat the undead, or they can
play Dark Aether story missions.

The developer claims that the mode features more
zombies than ever on one map, including special
zombie types like the Abomination and a human threat
known as the Terminus Outcomes PMC.

The upcoming map for Zombies will contain all the
classic features like the mystery box, perk machines,
Pack-a-Punch, and a brand-new Wonder Weapon

named the Scorcher. The Scorcher can be used for
killing zombies or as a tool for boosting up and navi-
gating the map.
Like Modern Warfare 2’s DMZ, players can equip them-

selves with perks, Pack-a-Punched weapons, and
equipment to exfil from the map and save for a later
match in Zombies mode. This also includes unique
weapons such as the iconic ray gun.

PlayStation Exclusive
Activision announced new PlayStation-exclusive
content for Call of Duty’s Modern Warfare III. The

Lockpick Operator Pack, with new operator Elodie
Micheaux, aka Lockpick, is available for pre-order.
The bundle features a melee weapon and an SMG.
Pre-ordering unlocks the content at launch on

November 10. PlayStation has exclusive rights until
November 9, 2024.

Sony pays Activision for PlayStation exclusivity, but

the partnership may end soon as Microsoft is acquiring
Activision Blizzard, which includes Call of Duty. Call
of Duty may be available on Xbox Game Pass if the
deal goes through. However, Call of Duty will remain

on PlayStation for the next decade, even if Microsoft
buys Activision Blizzard.
