Wisdom of the Heart
One may have been taught and conditioned from young that our intel-
ligence is knowing more and more stuff that one may have accumulated
from school teachers and books, from parents and peers, etc. One has
this belief that knowing more mentally and higher grades and diplomas
from a bachelor’s and master’s degree may have an ultimate impor-
tance and shall eventually lead us to a secure job and success, lifetime
of happiness. During this process that we all go through, we have ignored
innocently our capacity to use wisdom, the wisdom of our hearts.
The Heart has a deeper intelligence that is not logical and yet has much
more to give us during the most pressing times of our lives that our mind
can never do. By continually focusing on our mind, we have forgotten
what our heart actually can give us, peace and joy which brings a sense
of stability in our daily lives. Spending some time in a day on reflecting on
our heart and giving it attention helps one open the heart so as the heart
energy of Love flows to all that we do in our day to day activities. One
can eventually see a difference in the quality of life to a more peaceful
one by doing so and decisions are being made with a sense of gratitude
and Love for all. q
Suresh Mirchumal is a spiritual writer. “Well, you can categorize it like that, although I don’t call myself one. These thoughts come in effortlessly.”
His aim is in a way to reach out to whoever gets inspired or has an eye opening event within them that may transcend their current state of
consciousness. “Or let’s say current emotional state too. If one in a thousand benefits, that is already great.” Due to the current world state, lots
of struggles and stresses, we seem to lose touch with that inner peace that we long for, Suresh explains. “I wish to ease that through these small
articles or tidbits.” You will find his tidbits in Aruba Today from now on, mostly on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
