Appendix 2: Flowchart of the different phases to be followed in order to obtain an economi-

cal authority and an AOC

Typical example of the operations assessment and inspection prior to the certification of an AOC.
The following phases must be followed after the applicant is already in the possession of an eco-
nomical authority in accordance with the Aviation Act of Aruba (AB 1989 no.GT 58):

1. Phase 1 – Pre-application;
2. Phase 2 – Economical authority application and financial assessment;
3. Phase 3 – Formal AOC application;
4. Phase 4 – Documentation review;
5. Phase 5 – Compliance evaluation;
6. Phase 6 – Certification (AOC).

These phases can better be illustrated in the following flowchart, which is not limited to those task
specified:
