A new cruise ship passengers’
record has been achieved
THE efforts made by the Minister of Tourism, Aruba Tourism Authority and
Aruba Ports Authority have been attracting more cruise tourists to our island.
Cruise ships are being built bigger nowadays, which means that they can carry
more passengers, thus resulting in cruise ships offering
Aruba a larger amount of visitors.
The cruise ship with the most passengers’ record was
established on August 8, 2013 by Carnival Breeze with
a total amount of 4758 passengers on board.
This record lasted for 2 years but on Thursday August 6,
two days ago the same cruise ship entered Aruba with
a total amount of 4763 passengers on board, which is 5
more passengers compared to 2013, thus breaking the
record set in 2013.
As has been foreseen since last year this year will end
with a decrease in the amount of cruise ships tourists, but
next years’ calculations have already been made and it is
expected that Aruba will break all records regarding the
amount of cruise ships passengers.
Surely such achievements are due to combined efforts
between numerous institutions, to ensure that each pas-
senger’s visit is unforgettable.
Congratulations and thanks
to everyone who works in
tourism on a daily basis,
especially in the cruise ship
tourism industry and a special
congratulations and thanks to all em-
ployees that were working during
Carnival Breeze’s visit.
