A datebase of all
our artists is
in the making

A preposition to create an artists’ database where people,

groups and institutions that work in the cultural sector
can be registered was suggested during a consultation
round.
Since Aruba hasn’t had an artists’ registration system
for years, DCA decided to create one.
The ones that will be registered are singers, musicians,
dance groups, musical groups and artists that play
typical Aruban instruments.

The main reason to create such a database is to be
able to indentify those active in the cultural sector. The
information acquired will be used by DCA and other
Government institutions and can be made available to
interested parties.
Many dance groups and artists that play typical Aruban
intstruments have already registered.

This will defintely contribute to Aruba’s cultural heritage
There are two ways to register the first one being visiting the DCA of-
fice situated in L.G. Smith Blvd #134 and ask for Maria Ridderstaat and
fill in the necessary form or call DCA at 582-2185 and for Maria Ridderstaat
give your email adress so the form can be provided digitaly.
