‘I protect this place like home’

Casa del Mar Beach Resort & Timeshare offers you paradise: an oceanfront loca-
tion on the white sandy Eagle Beach, the amazing blue-green colored Caribbean
ocean, wonderful luxury oceanfront or poolside timesharing suites and a world of
amenities like spa, restaurant, pool and fitness. A successful resort needs dedicated
employees, they are the most valuable asset you have and Casa del Mar Beach
Resort & Timeshare presents one of the best examples to you: Security Manager
                Maureen Blake.

“I have been working here since June, 10th 1997, when I started as a night shift
cleaner. I went back to school and came back with an upgrade that went from
room attendant to security.” She loves what she does, her passion in the job is to
make the guests feel safe. “To come to work every day to make the over 500 guests
staying at the resort feel safe is my goal. In the morning I meet with my staff, I walk
the grounds to check everybody is okay and the resort is safe. I have a 10 person
security, guarding the resort 24/7. We open doors if guests are locked out of their
room and even rescue them if they get locked out on their balconies, check all ar-
eas of the resort, walk the beach and the floors of both buildings to make sure the
                premises are secure.”

                All Connected
The resort also has a first aid station, if guests have any cuts or bruises Maureen and
her staff are trained to provide basic medical attention. Her office is full of screens
where she sees what the cameras at the premises catch. “I can see the whole
side of the beach, the parking lot, and all angles of the resort. We have portable
radios to communicate with each other. We are not allowed to carry weapons, but
protect ourselves by the way we are trained. The approach is important, if it gets
out of hand we need to call the police. We all have our first aid diplomas and self-
defense.” To face the day to day challenges with her experience over the years
means that not much frightens her. “I know how to cope with issues. We also have a
chat group with the police and all other hotel security managers on the island. We
are all connected to ensure the safety at our resorts.”

                Anywhere, Anytime
Casa del Mar Beach Resort & Timeshare is in her heart. “I even bought my own
timeshare here for vacation so I stay at my work during those two weeks off”, she
laughs. “Even on holidays my radio is standby, I live my job as I love it that much.”

Casa del Mar would like to welcome
