6 How Do You Deal with It?
Procedure:
1. Work in a group of 3 or 4.
2. Attached below is a list of problems. Choose one.
3. Discuss the problem and solution(s) in your group. What you need to do are:
a. Identifying the exact problem(s). Use the expressions and vocabulary we have learned to
identify problems.
b. Offering solutions. Discuss possible solutions with your group mates. Use the expressions
and vocabulary to offer solutions.
4. Create a simple mind map on the problem and proposed solutions.
5. After you finish the discussion and creating the visual, do a brief presentation in front of the class.
Use the vocabulary and expressions to speak at length above when proposing solution and
encouraging discussion.
6. Below is an example of a mind-map based on the problem presented.
Problem: Sofia used to be a top student in high school, but ever since starting university, she’s lost
interest in her major. She skips classes and doesn’t feel inspired to study, unsure if she made the
right choice in her field of study.
