After 8 hours of nursing interventions, the patient will be able to report that pain is relieved or
controlled.

After 2-3 days of nursing interventions, the patient will be able to demonstrate the use of relaxation
techniques and diversional for individual situation.

Language Focus: Passive Voice

The passive voice is used to show interest in the person or object that experiences an action
rather than the person or object that performs the action. In other words, the most important thing or
person becomes the subject of the sentence. This pattern can be applied to report the intervention and
the evaluation during nurse meeting.
