Nurse Mela : "Great. Just to confirm, I’ve verified your blood bag and equipment, making sure
everything is sterile and labeled correctly. I’ll be using an IV set connected to the
transfusion pump, which helps control the flow rate."
Mrs. Kanna : "Alright, and how long does it take?"
Nurse Mela : "Typically, a transfusion takes about one to four hours, depending on the volume of
blood. I’ll start slowly at first and monitor how your body responds."
Mrs. Kanna : "Yes, that’s fine."
Nurse Mela : "Perfect. I’m about to start the transfusion. Let me know if you feel anything unusual,
like chills, itching, or discomfort."
Mrs. Kanna : "Okay, I’ll let you know if I notice anything."
Nurse Mela : "Great. I’m starting with a slow flow to ensure your body adjusts comfortably. I’ll check
on you regularly every 15 minutes . Once I see your body is responding well, I’ll
gradually increase the transfusion speed."
Mrs. Kanna : "Well-noted, thank you."
Nurse Mela : "Now, the transfusion is done. I’ll remove the IV line. I’ll apply pressure and place a
bandage to protect the site. How are you feeling? Any itching, nausea, or chills?"
Mrs. Kanna : "I feel a little bit dizzy right now."
Nurse Mela : "I am sorry to hear that. I will now check your vital signs and report to Doctor Yumna
for consulting your condition."
Mrs. Kanna : "Understood, Nurse. Thank you."
Nurse Mela : "Anytime. Let us pray first, Mrs. Allahumma rabban nasi, adzhibil ba'sa isyfi antas
syafi la syafiya illa anta syifa'an la yughadiru saqaman. I am leaving now for informing
Doctor Yumna. I will be back soon to inform you what should do next. Please have a
rest, Mrs. If your dizziness increases and there are other symptoms like fever, rash, or
unusual fatigue later, be sure to call us right away. Assalammu’alaikum."
Mrs. Kanna : "Amen. Ok, Nurse. Thank you. Wa’alaikumsalam. "
