The double sheet bend holds better than the single version. It works well even
if you tie it using wet ropes.
The water knotis suitable if the rope you are using is relatively thin.
The fisherman’s knot
The fisherman’s knot holds well and consists of two overhand knots that stop
each other so the ropes can’t slip apart. It can be tied as a single or double
knot.
