                                         non-pharmacological approaches”.

We are excited and looking forward to seeing you during our 61 Annual NCPS conference in March 2022
      in Monterey California!

The conference theme this year is reflective of a prolonged and unpredictable course of pandemic “The
tapestry of psychiatric care in unpredictable times: A review of pharmacological and non-
pharmacological approaches”. This year’s conference highlights the topics and speakers which will
cover the adaptive and maladaptive management of stress and trauma, nutritional psychiatry and im-
pacts of processed food, psycho-pharmacological overview, evolving treatments for depression and oth-
er psychiatric disorders, reproductive psychiatry and more….

As we shape and finalize the final program over next few weeks, we are excited to share that following
faculty members have confirmed to share their expertise with our conference attendees. Dr. Robert
Lustig will speak on the topic processed food and its impact on mind and body, Dr. Ira Glick will walk
us through a journey of psychopharmacology with a focus on treatment of schizophrenia and practical
psychopharmacology tips. Dr. Alison McInnes will share her expertise on Ketamine Infusion therapy for
depression, as well as will discuss other evolving uses of Ketamine.

We will also have 2 panel presentations on the topic of DEI and Ethics. Our ever-popular ethics commit-
tee experts in collaboration with a team of RFMs, will highlight the topic of moral distress, ethical dilem-
ma and dual loyalty in provision of psychiatric care to a large subset of patient population.

In the light of recent surge of Omicron related Covid 19 cases, please be reassured that we at NCPS are
and will be closely monitoring local/State and CDC guidelines and will make necessary modifica-
tions as indicated, to ensure health and safety of our community and members.

On behalf of Professional Education Committee,
