Personal Safety
Being careful when getting in and out of your truck, climbing on top of your trailer, lifting, and connectingandstoringproducthoseswillhelpavoidpersonalinjuries. Thisincludesthewearing and using all safety equipment. Without exception, fall protection must be used where provided.
If you sustain a personal injury, you must immediately report it to your dispatcher and the Safety Department.
• The parking of company equipment is permitted at locations operated by the company, and Shipper and consignee sites necessary to the loading and unloading of products
• Equipment repair facilities
• Other locations such as truck stops, restaurants, rest areas and motels that have areas intended and designated for truck parking
Parking at any other location is prohibited unless authorized by your dispatcher.
Before parking your unit, look around and select the location that provides the best safety for you, your equipment and the public.
Personal Safety Equipment
Drivers are required to use the proper safety equipment at all times.
The typical equipment includes:
• Hard hat
• Safety glasses
• Ear plugs
• Dust mask
• Closed-toe Shoes
• Long Pants
Otherequipmentmayberequiredbyourcustomerswhileloadingorunloading. Youmustobeyall established rules while on our customers’ property.
Foltz Trucking requires that all employees wear appropriate and suitable footwear. Appropriate and suitable footwear includes work boots with treading/grip (no cowboy boots) or clean athletic shoes in good condition.

Entering/exiting vehicles & climbing on trailers - Drivers (and all Company personnel) are expected to enter and exit company vehicles using three points of contact at all times and jumping from any vehicle or other equipment is strictly prohibited.
