Responsibilities of Drivers
Drivers must be conversant with federal, state and local safety laws, rules and regulations.
All drivers or others whose duties require them to drive, shall have on their person at all times while on duty, a current motor vehicle operator's license or chauffeur's license as required and issued by the state of the driver's residence.
It is the driver's responsibility to be familiar with the Department of Transportation Motor Carrier Safety Regulations provided at time of lease and you are expected to read and understand these regulation. Additional copies of the Motor Carrier Regulations can be obtained at the office.
The driver is responsible for the safe, careful and efficient operation of equipment to which they are assigned.
Drivers must comply with company rules & regulation and the proper loading of equipment & freight. The drivers render prompt and accurate reports required by law and company rules.
Courteous behavior is expected at all times on the highway as well as with customers and clients. Personal Safety
Being careful when getting in and out of your truck, climbing on top of your trailer, lifting and connecting and storing product hoses will help avoid personal injuries. This includes the wearing and using all safety equipment. Without exception, fall protection must be used where provided.
If you sustain a personal injury, you must immediately report it to your Dispatcher and the Safety Department.
