I think it’s a really beautiful story about two
pro athletes, trying to overcome obstacles
in their journey and whether or not their
experiences will allow them to heal
together or not. I’m currently in Pre-
Production for it and I play one of the
athletes so my immersion in it is a whole
different thing! The process of breaking my
body down to build it back up to be this
boxer has been the most grueling process
I’ve ever experienced, mentally and
physically. It’s forcing me to sharpen my
focus, to dig deep and find the strength, all
while questioning why on Earth did I want
to be in the film AND direct it! It’s changing
Q: What advice can you give another me for the better for sure and I think that I
creative person who is new to building will be a totally different person at the end
their brand or feeling insecure about of it all. (In a good way!)

My current project is my first feature
film, Boxer. This is one of those
projects that I was blocked in and
had to step away from. It took me 3 KMackNYC
years to write.
