ABSTRACT

Tissue engineering is one of the efforts that can be done to overcome defects in
hard and soft tissues of the oral and maxillofacial cavity. Tissue engineering
usually stimulated by blood plasma, growth factors and cytokines from platelets in
tissue engineering medicine. Injectable PRF is an autologous platelet concentrate
containing various growth factors, leukocytes and cytokines that can accelerate
healing in hard and soft tissues. The purpose of this Scoping Review is to
determine the effect of using i-PRF in healing of hard and soft tissues of the oral
and cavity. The method used in this study uses a literature review method with the
type of scoping review. The data is done by searching through Google Scholar
database, PubMed, Science Direct and Taylor and Francis. The result of this
Scoping Review study indicates that i-PRF can be used as a material to accelerate
the healing of hard and soft tissues of the mouth cavity.
