That night Azula lies awake, she hummed to herself a children's lullaby that her mother used to sing to her, she remembers how it never gets her to sleep, gosh she is such a bad singer. Azula's mind runs as fast as an ostrich horse could run. She gets why Mai turned on her but to Zuko? Especially when they are at their happiest state as a newly engaged couple. Zuko partially raises Kiyi too, Azula hates her guts but there is no way Kiyi will ever go behind Zuko’s back, right? Nevertheless, Azula thinks to herself There is still tomorrow and she And she knows where the key is going to be. tomorrow she'll see whether or not her brother will suffer the same fate that she had.
The next morning Azula Azula rushed to spy on Kiyi. She wanted to be wrong, even though some part of her hated the girl she couldn't find a logical explanation why she would ever want to go behind Zuko's back. Azula watches Kiyi have a bowl of rice and vegetable set for breakfast and Azula could almost taste the faint taste of the royal palace gourmet food on the back of her tongue. It's been years since she tasted it. She wondered whether or not, later on, she could steal some food to take on the way back to the kemurikage hideout.
Not long after Ursa shows up. She gracefully walked over to Kiyi and planted a kiss on her forehead. A large grin appeared on Katie's face and she quickly hugged her mother. The two share a little Chit Chat and from afar Azula tries to remember when was the last time she did that to her mother. Don't get her wrong there is still some kind of contempt against her mother for all the things that she's done and also didn’t do. Azula knew that she never wanted Zuko or her, perhaps that is why she's such a bad mother. But she loves Kiyi with all of her heart, such a shame how now she suddenly turns into a perfect mother for Kiyi.
After breakfast, Azula follows Kiyi to meet the fire nation royal guard who stays behind, Tyler from the Kiyoshi warrior. Azula too remembers how Ty Lee used to be the nicest friend she had. When it comes to their friendship, Azula never thought that Ty Lee would side with Mai instead of her.But now knowing how dangerous the acrobatic loving warrior is, Azula will be on her feet.
