DESIGNATIONS
Target University | CPL
The mission of Target University is to further promote Best Practices in program administration
and recognize the specialized skill sets of Program Specialists. TMPAA members who complete
and pass all 13 courses and have the prerequisite leadership history and/or experience in
program business are eligible to apply for the Certified Programs Leader (CPL) Designation.
Course Curriculum CPL Requirements
1. Contracts Successful completion of all Target University Courses
2. Mergers & Acquisitions Minimum 5 years experience in the Insurance Industry
3. Claims 2 years experience in a Program Leadership Role
4. Program Submissions (Manager, Supervisor, Officer) OR 5 years as a
5. Strategic Planning Program Underwriter OR 5 years as a Service Provider
6. Actuarial in a technical position directly serving the program
7. Risk Management business industry
8. Leadership & Ethics Absence of any ethical violations
9. Underwriting Membership in the TMPAA
10. Systems & Operations Two endorsements
11. Program Marketing
12. Finance & Accounting
13. Cyber Security
