Supplies on Hand
1. A current drug reference guide, not more than two (2) years old must be kept at the facility or
staff must have access to current drug reference guides by other means such as through the
internet or another source. This will be an electronic file on every computer at the facility. Staff
will also be informed how to access this information from their phones.
2. A toxicology reference book, not more than five (5) years old must be kept at the facility or staff
must have access to toxicology references by other means such as through the internet or another
source. This will be an electronic file on every computer at the facility. Staff will also be
informed how to access this information from their phones.
3. Staff can also access online material at any time by reviewing such sites as:
www.drugs.com
www.webmd.com
www.pdr.net Physician’s Desk Reference can be downloaded for free from this site.
4. A first aid kit must be kept at the facility. The first aid kit must contain at minimum:
a. Adhesive bandages;
b. Gauze pads;
c. Antiseptic solution;
d. Tweezers;
e. Scissors;
f. Tape;
g. Disposable gloves.
h. Re-sealable plastic bags of at least one-gallon size.
