Alternative Fuels

Over the past several decades, there have been enormous strides in the
development and implementation of alternative fuel sources to power motor
vehicles.
These fuels include electric, biodiesel, hydrogen, compressed natural gas and
propane. However, fossil fuels still constitute the primary energy source used for
powering personal transportation.
Through the following lessons, students will be introduced to these alternative
energy sources, specifically as they pertain to transportation.
