the paediatric cardiac unit of the
Teaching Hospital Anuradhapura
SAGT sponsored the purchase of a Philips G30E
Multipara Monitor for the Teaching Hospital
Anuradhapura (THA) on 29th March 2022.
The G30E monitor is a highly reliable and versatile
patient monitoring solution which enables clinicians
to monitor and respond to their patients’ rapidly
changing conditions. This addition will assist the medical team at the THA pediatric cardiac unit to conduct
timely and accurate vital readings in the patients (mostly neonates) suffering from congenital heart disease
(CHD). CHD is the most common congenital disease identified globally and constitutes 28% of the congenital
diseases identified worldwide. CHD is prevalent among 2500-3500 live births in Sri Lanka.
This addition will assist the medical team at the THA pediatric cardiac unit to conduct timely and accurate
vital readings in the patients (mostly neonates) suffering from congenital heart disease (CHD). CHD refers
to a series of birth defects which affects the normal functioning of the heart. CHD is the most common
congenital disease identified globally and constitutes 28% of the congenital diseases identified worldwide.
CHD is prevalent among 2500-3500 live births in Sri Lanka.
SAGT launches a Self-Service Online e-DA Facility
With a commitment to further enhance services to To further enhance the “ease of doing business”
the customers, SAGT launched the first self-service customer experience, the company then introduced
online e-DA facility for the Port of Colombo on the the secure online payment gateway via the SAGT
1st of June 2022. This facility empowers the customer e-Port platform. The enhanced process allowed
to a user-friendly process to obtain the import for automated reconciliation, hassle-free online
container e-Delivery Advice (e-DA) at convenience transactions and faster processing times of e-DA
24/7/365. Much like an air traveler generating their requests to under 30 minutes compared to several
own boarding-pass. hours under the manual process.
At the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, SAGT
introduced an emailed based e-DA process in
compliance with the social distancing directives at the
time. The process allowed customers the opportunity
to transact clearances without the need for face-to-
face interaction. This revolutionized a decades long
paper-based process with a week.
