Audiences continue to grow
Finally, just a quick word about how my music is connecting
with the outside world.
There were around ten live performances of my music in
2023 with several premieres - not only the ones mentioned
above but also ‘The composer’s song’ and Psalm 121. Getting
my choral pieces known so other choirs want to sing them is
a challenge and we continue to take opportunities where we
can to ‘spread the music’.
One encouraging sign is people’s increasing interest in my
youtube channel. We have had a 60% increase in views in
2023 up to 4000 for the year. But even more significant is the
time spent listening to my music. This has gone up 133% to
116 hours for the year. In addition, we have had 21 extra
subscribers. These are of course small numbers compared
with many other channels. However, they are an indication
my music is getting traction in a world competing for what
we listen to and enjoy. So, for that, I am very grateful!
Plans for the future
There are plenty of plans in the pipeline.

piece for them to be performed in November this
year. It will sit alongside Bruckner as we celebrate his
200 birthday. Wow, to be programmed in the same
th
concert as the great Bruckner!
• Jubilate will soon be releasing their ‘Journey to
Resurrection’, a selection of hymns and songs for the
Easter period. I was asked to write a tune for one of
