               something?”. Peter – “Sure, I can do that”.
                                            And so, the commissioned
                                            piece for the anniversary was
                                            born. See the celebratory
                                            handover to the left. It was
                                            appropriate that this
                                            occurred in the same pub the
                                            idea was conceived! The
                                            piece is based on the well-
                                            known old hymn “We love
                                            the place, O God, in which
                                            your honour dwells”.

               The performance took place on June 29  which you can see
               in the above picture (courtesy of Paul White from St. Mark’s).
               The choir was a combination of singers from various local
               choirs as well as the children’s school Bishop Gilpin which is
               linked with the church. The piece was very well received with
               apparently the children humming the tune on the way back
               home. Always a good sign! You can check out the piece on
