Traditional Chinese Acupuncture Theory of Action:

 Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) viewed disease as an imbalance of the
       organs, yin, yang and chi in the body. It is believed that when energy flow is
       obstructed, interrupted or unbalanced illness may occur.

 Fundamental to TCM are the concepts of yin and yang, opposite but
       complementary forces whose perfect balance within the body is essential for
       well-being.

 Yin signifies cold, damp, darkness, stillness, and contraction;
 Yang signifies heat, dryness, light, action, and expansion.
