TUTORING EXPERIENCE
Private Tutor, Mathematics
•Mr S has considerable tutoring experience, having
tutored around 35 students of varying ability over the past
six years. He has covered maths, physics and chemistry
from KS3 up to entrance exam level, helping students with
their MAT and STEP exams, with his students going on to
enjoy success. For example his students achieved an A* in
A Level further maths, A* in chemistry GCSE and a 7 in
their maths GCSE (first year of the new system). On
average, his students improved upon their predicted
grades by one or two grades. Reviews are available upon request.
TUTORING METHODS
•Mr S believes that students learn best from someone passionate about their subject. He is incredibly engaged
with mathematics and strives to simplify topics for pupils
so as to make them clear and easy to understand. As a
university graduate, he has recent experience of learning
the topics he is teaching and this gives him a unique
ability to assess how best to impart this knowledge. Often
his ability to view a challenging topic from a pupil's
perspective makes an explanation easier to understand.
Given the extremely uncertain times with many students missing valuable school and teaching time, he is more than happy
to work out more flexible arrangements that best bridge any knowledge gaps developing.
