MR SAINSBURY: A MESSAGE FROM THE TUTOR
I estimate I have delivered over 1000 hours of one-to-one tutorials over the past seven years. I have worked as a part- time private tutor since 2013, taking on home-schooling and education consultancy responsibilities since 2017 and moving to full-time tuition on graduating from the University of Cambridge.
I have taught mathematics, physics and chemistry for students taking a variety of exams, across IGCSE, FSMQ,
A Level, IB and Pre-U, covering all major UK exam boards. I have experience stretching from teaching maths to younger students across KS1-3, right through to providing admissions advice for entry to Oxbridge and the top Russell Group Universities and assisting with personal statements and admissions exams including AEA, TMUA, MAT and STEP. I have also provided tutorials in preparation for the SMC and BMO.
Success Stories (names have been changed):
-
"John, studying both maths and further maths A Level, was worried about falling behind his peers. I worked intensively with him, delivering 35 hours of tutorials across 25 days, covering huge swathes of the second year maths A Level content. John found a renewed sense of confidence in his abilities and was ideally suited to build on his knowledge while
studying the further maths course. He went on to achieve A*s in both A Levels."

"Henry has been tutoring my daughter maths for around 6 months now. Henry is not only extremely good at maths but is also excellent at teaching the subject effectively. Henry's passion for maths is quite contagious and has very quickly turned around my daughter's negative attitude towards maths to her now considering maths for her A levels! That is quite an incredible achievement by Henry, and I cannot thank my lucky stars enough to have found Henry. We have been strongly recommending Henry for maths tuition to our close friends and family and would like to do the same for prospective maths tutees of the Private Tuition Club."
