Message from the

Chairman, President & CEO

The Middlesex Water Company Enterprise has prospered around the habit of doing the

right thing and doing things right. What we say, what we do, the quality of services we

provide and the way we treat others is shaped by our five guiding principles -- our core

values, which serve as the basis of our actions. These core values, summarized as the Do

RIGHT principle, serve to establish how we go about our mission of providing service in

the water, wastewater and related fields in a safe, reliable and efficient manner. They

put in context for us the culture of collaboration, accountability and engagement that’s

essential to driving our everyday individual and business decisions.

The acronym, Do RIGHT, represents the values of Respect, Integrity, Growth, Honesty and

Teamwork. Just as water is essential for life, these values are essential in maintaining a

positive, inclusive and sustainable corporate culture. They work hand in hand with our Code

of Conduct encouraging all of us to operate in a fair, transparent and trustworthy manner.

As an employee of the Middlesex Water enterprise, I invite you to continue to embrace

these Do RIGHT principles and to commit to helping build upon the culture of doing right,

even when no one is watching. Since 1897, our company has worked to build upon its

reputation of operational excellence which helps us to continue to earn our customers’
