                The first step, if you cannot contact the unit you were asked to contact, is to

                return to the last unit you had contact with and confirm that the equipment is
                functioning properly and that the frequency for the next unit is correct.

                1.4.4    Signals to aircraft from the ground


                The following illustrations show the types of signals that can be given from the

                control tower to an aircraft.




                1.4.4.1     Aircraft in the air


                You acknowledge a signal by

                    -  During the day:


                       Wing  tipping  (not  necessary  if  you  are  on  base  or  final  approach).


































                    -  At night:

                       Turn the landing lights on and off twice if such are installed, otherwise,

                       turn the navigation lights on and off twice.
