     Air Law
1.5 Airspace, air traffic service (ATS), and air traffic
               service airspace (video 4 - 4 videoer)
For the sake of air traffic management, the atmosphere is divided into areas,
and each area is assigned different airspace classes.
The "traffic rules" for air traffic depend on the class of airspace in which one is
                flying.
                1.5.1 Airspace designations
Airspace is divided into different categories/sections, which manage, organize,
                and regulate flights.
                1.5.1.1 Copenhagen FIR
                The Danish airspace is called
                Copenhagen FIR (Flight Information
                Region). Airspace is primarily controlled
by ACC Naviair and COIF Copenhagen
                Information.
ACC Naviair (Area Control Center) manages airspace over Denmark and
surrounding sea areas, meaning it is responsible for organizing and controlling
                flights at higher altitudes.
COIF Copenhagen Information provides flight information services (FIS) to VFR
flights in areas where this service is not provided by approach service units in
                the LTA (Local Traffic Area).
In FIR, flight information services and alarm services are provided.
