8.1 Introduction (Generel viden om luftfartøjer 1 - 4 videoer)

A modern aircraft is a very complicated structure. The inner part of the aircraft
must accommodate the crew, and the instruments and equipment that must

ensure that the aircraft can be operated according to the required needs. There

must be room for passengers and luggage. The external shape forms the basis

for the creation of lift. At the same time, the external shape creates drag - the

bigger, the more drag.

The need for lift is dictated by the weight of the aircraft and the load. The higher
the weight, the stronger the structure must be, and the weight will then be

higher, and so on….

As we can see, there are many compromises that must be made.

But the basic consideration is: The stronger and the lighter - the better.

8.2 Maintenance and documents

If you have acquired an aircraft, there is a lot of paperwork and inspections

involved.

Some things you can do yourself, others you must have professionals to do for
you.

8.2.1 Maintenance

Maintenance of aircraft is crucial for flight safety.
