                8.5.5 Electricity

Trials have been made with electrically powered aircraft, but it has not been

successful so far. The problem is the weight of the batteries and the short

                operating time that is available.

But environmentally it is a gain if there is enough power available for charging.

In terms of noise it is a good solution.

                8.6 Electricity and electrical systems

In addition to the electrical system in the aircraft, which we normally have

control over, electricity also exists as static electricity and as giant discharges in

nature in the form of lightning.

                8.6.1 Static electricity and lightning

In addition to the electrical system in the aircraft, which we normally have

control over, electricity also exists as static electricity and as giant discharges in

nature in the form of lightning.
