Human Performance

You contain the most incredible machine in the world—your brain.

Aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer in waht

ervey lteter by istlef, but the wrod as a wlohe.

However, the brain can also create illusions.

                Here are a few examples:

                Which lines are parallel?

Does it appear to be moving?

                2.4.1.4 Conscious and unconscious processing

Unconscious processes include reflexes, which involve only the spinal cord.

Conscious actions, however, occur in the upper part of the brain. For example,

moving a chess piece from A to B involves cooperation between the senses,

                sensory nerves, and motor nerves.

This process includes perception (sensory processing) and cognitive functions

such as experience, strategy, risk evaluation, emotions, and time

                considerations.
