                                            TAILOR-MADE SUPPORT
Trade & Investment KwaZulu-Natal (TIKZN) is geared
to promote the Province’s competitive advantages as
a world-class business investment destination and
to encourage trade by assisting local companies to
identify new markets for the export of their products.
One of TIKZN’s strengths in promoting the province
of KwaZulu-Natal is in the packaging and marketing
of investment opportunities. TIKZN has identified
a range of potential investment opportunities for
investors in different sectors who can then make an
informed decision of the suitability of the project
according to their interest level. KwaZulu-Natal is
the only South African province to provide project
brokering and goes all out to link clients and investors.
The Province has active and successful businesses
and a very proactive provincial government that
                                            provides visible support to investors.
                                            Property Development
TIKZN has packaged a number of property develop-
ments, which are in various stages of implementation
from the conducting of feasibility studies, to develop-
ment of business plans, environmental impact studies,
                                            designs, approval and construction.
                                            Manufacturing
The province is strong in manufacturing and works
closely with the automotive industry. There is a need
to develop the supply chain both in original equipment
manufacturers (OEM) and after-sale markets, locally
and internationally. The South African aluminium
industry is one of the industrial pillars of the South
African economy. There is also much need to promote
the beneficiation of metals including aluminum and
steel. Consequently, the manufacture of a number
of aluminum products have been packaged for
investors, including the manufacture of alloy wheels,
                                            beverage cans and pistons.
