Do you have a favorite or funny story about your time at
Cascia Hall?
Every single day of my time at Cascia was fun or funny, and yes, there were stories. Lots of them. But one story in particular stands out. It happened in Mr. Shaw’s Oklahoma History class. There was a student that day who happened to be especially belligerent. He just wouldn’t listen to the obligatory warning from Mr. Shaw that there would be consequences to his actions. Once again, this student tested Mr. Shaw’s patience. He had crossed the line. Mr. Shaw not only threw the student out of class that day, but he threw his desk out the window. Then there was this deafening silence. I’ll never forget it.
Do you have a favorite Augustinian or teacher from
your time at Cascia Hall?
Candidly, I can’t remember a single teacher or coach that I didn’t like and respect and who didn’t teach me so much about the subject and life in general. But a few names do come quickly to mind. There was Father Spielmann, Father Gaffney, Father Flynn and Father Hamilton. And football Coach, Angela Prassa. Mr. Shaw. Rick Parks. L.D. Lawson. And Mr. Borchert. Each of those names are associated with fond memories in the classroom or on a playing eld.
