in tongues.

We must pray every day. Paul encourages prayer of
tongues. “I thank God that I speak in tongues more than

all of you” (1 Corinthians 14:18). It is very important that
we pray in tongues. It is because the prayer in tongues is a

‘key to opening up the heavens’. Paul talks about praying in
tongues with these words.

“For if I pray in a tongue, my the spirit prays, but my mind

is unfruitful” (1 Corinthians 14:14).

Paul describes speaking in tongues as praying in the spirit.
But it cannot be said that the prayer in tongues is all that the

spiritual prayer involves. Praying in tongues is a preparation
phase in being able to pray the prayer of the spirit. Just as the

altar of incense is done in prepara-tion of entering the most
holy place, the prayer in tongues is done in preparation for

the prayer of the spirit. The prayer of the spirit will naturally
come through the prayer of tongues.

Do not bother listening to what the prayer of tongues is
speaking. Only focus on the glory of God.
