7. Listening to the voice of God

1) The utmost in experiencing the Glory

Moses talked with God at the atonement cover.

“When Moses entered the Tent of Meeting to speak with

the LORD, he heard the voice speaking to him from between
the two cherubim above the atonement cover on the ark of

the Testimony. And he spoke with him” (Numbers 7:89).

“There, above the cover between the two cherubim that are
over the ark of the Testimo-ny, I will meet with you and give

you all my commands for the Israelites” (Exodus 25:22).

Moses heard the voice of God at the atonement cover. The
atonement cover is where the Glory of God dwelled. The

pillar of cloud covered the tent of meeting and the pillar of
fire shone upon the ark of the covenant. As the atonement

cover acts as the lid of the Ark of the Covenant, the blood of
Jesus was sprinkled upon the cover.
