Editor’s Note: Crazy Daze - Keep On Keeping On
It’s been a month since I read The Magazine Mechanic’s Have Faith
column. So, have I overthought what I want to say about keeping on
keeping on? Maybe. However – Paul’s words about pushing through
and persevering until a satisfactory end goal is reached resonates,
especially in this crazy daze time. I mentioned before that this platform
is apolitical so it is difficult to express thoughts here that may stir the
pot. So, please bear with me as I delicately dip my toe into the pond of
despondency… without making waves.
I have long wondered – sometimes aloud – about just how “created”
this whole global threat has been. If I say I called it a counter measure
to one country getting the upper hand over another via a trade deal
brokered to redress past wrongs, would you get where I’m heading?
You see… I think that after one action, there had to be a retaliatory
reaction. Thereby, the greatest nation on earth won back a few steps in
the constant battle for control – then the other nation, bent on globalist
expansion, had to find a different tool to use in it’s never ceasing drive
for dominance. And thus, hundreds of thousands of human live were
sacrificed… much like in 20th century battles for totalitarian control.

Ok – so… then the dust begins to settle just a little and a new wave of our core values – when monuments and symbols become the targets of
unrest and chaos is ignited – again an attack on the very core values on unjust hate.

I haven’t stepped out of the realms of apolitical debate yet but hopeful- I’m spewing many mouthfuls here, I know… but this is the product of

major issues with the controls put in place to flatten the so-called curve
You see… very early in the spread of the illness, sceptics were asking if is the impact on mental health. It is easy for us to do something about

virus, yet… the very nature of sheltering and hiding has contributed
significantly to the negative impact on mental health.
And this is where I want to pick up on Paul’s advice – the simple act of
keeping on. Yes, I know it is easy for me to tell you to do so but maybe
I’m sharing my thoughts as a way of finding answers for myself too.
What’s the old story about mental health issues? To speak about the
problem is to share the load. So, I suggest that in jotting down some of
my thoughts I may well be sharing my load – thus gaining a little relief
too. Therefore… if I keep on going – figuratively, I may encourage you
to question and in so doing – speak about issues that could impact
your mental health and/ or freedom.
There’s only one certainty about humans – human nature and the
impact it will have on the happiness of others. How we deal with our
individual hardships has a direct impact on the lives of others. The
draconian control measures have caused a spike in reported abuse cas-
es – of all kinds. Therefore, if we can find a way of pushing through the
situational mental anguish in a dignified manner, we will have positive
effects on those around us.
Right so – I think I’ve belaboured the point enough – think of your
mental health and of the strain we’re putting on each other – search for
your inner strength and keep on keeping on!
