         Taunton Veteran Breakfast Club
         recently organised an event. Not
expecting more than a village fete
size, they were soon bowled over
by interested parties and soon had
to stop taking bookings. They had
70+ exhibits, wives choir and period
         singer, stalls, charities and military
         vehicles, both private and serving.
The hot weather brought the com-
munity out in droves and eventually
raised nearly £2000 for SSAFA and
         other veteran charities. Plans now
underway for next year, with the
         council and SSAFA supporting Taun-
         ton AFVBC.

         Veteran Breakfast Club Member
Jason Hughes told SBT: “We accom-
plished all that on a zero budget, zero
         experience, and zero clue!”
