RU currently has the second-toughest strength of schedule in the nation. The team has played six
games against teams in the RPI top 10. Rutgers continually competes in close games, as their last
seven contests have been decided by just one goal. RU has allowed just 12 goals this season and
have allowed no more than two goals in any single contest. Goalkeeper Gianna Glatz has a .786 save
percentage that leads the Big Ten, as well as a 1.21 goals-against-average that is fourth in the
conference.
The team has had seven different goal scorers this season, with Austyn Cuneo, Katie Larmour, Tayla
Parkes and Rachel Houston all tallying multiple times.
SCOUTING INDIANA
The Hoosiers enter the matchup at 4-7
on the season and 1-3 in the
conference. After opening conference
play with a 4-2 win over Michigan State,
IU is currently on a four-game losing streak, during
which it has been outscored 19-4.
Indiana is led by Hailey Couch (seven goals, 15
points) and Kelsey Giese (four goals, four assists). In goal, Sachi Ananias has a 3.37 goals-against-
average and averages 6.55 saves per game.
SCOUTING NORTHWESTERN
The Wildcats enter the weekend at 10-4,
with a contest Friday at Penn State. The
two squads share mutual opponents in
UConn (both lost), Ball State (both won),
Maryland (both lost) and Maine (Rutgers won,
Northwestern lost).
The Wildcats are led offensively by Bente Baekers,
who has a nation-best 17 goals and is second with 35 points. Kristen Mansfield also leads the
conference with 11 assists.
Last season, the Scarlet Knights earned a 2-1 victory at Northwestern. It was the first ever win for RU
over the Wildcats.
