PISCATAWAY, N.J. – No. 19 Rutgers field hockey (6-6, 1-3 Big Ten) battled No. 8 Northwestern (11-5, 4-1
Big Ten) before ultimately dropping a 4-1 decision to the Wildcats. Katie Larmour scored the lone RU
goal.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Northwestern scored first, tallying late in the first quarter. The Wildcats converted on a penalty corner
to take a 1-0 lead.

The Scarlet Knights had a quick answer early in the second quarter. Rutgers earned a corner of its own,
and Austyn Cuneo sent the ball in to the back post. Katie Larmour was there to redirect the ball into
the net and tie the game at 1-1.
