Field Hockey Welcomes Seven Newcomers

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Rutgers field hockey has announced the addition of seven new players to the
roster for the 2019-20 academic year. The Scarlet Knights will welcome Amanda Beck, Allison Horton,
Rachel Houston, Maggie Lamb, Isabella Mancini, Carly Snarski and Annie Walsh to the team.
"I am very excited about this incoming group," head coach Meredith Civico said. "They all bring
something different and I am confident that each of them will contribute to the success of the
program."
Amanda Beck, Medford Lakes, N.J. / Shawnee High School, Forward/Midfield
Prior to Rutgers: Scored 81 goals and added 38
assists as a four-year varsity player … selected as
Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association
First Team All-State … two-time Lancaster Lebanon
League First Team … three-time Penn Live Player of
the week nominee … Max Field Hockey Top-100
recruit … U-16 club team finished third nationally
and U-19 team finished fifth… parents are Eric and
Marnia … father Eric, a Rutgers alum, wrestled at
Pfeiffer College … has two older brothers, Andrew
and Shane
Coach Civico on Beck: "Amanda Beck is a highly
skilled attacker who is a natural goal scorer.
Whether she plays in the midfield or on the forward line I have no doubt she will give us another
dimension offensively. "

Coach Civico on Horton: "Allison Horton is a strong
and physical attacking player. She will add
physicality and work ethic to our front line. She is
not afraid to do whatever it takes to score and that is what we love about her."
