SAMANTHA BARTUSH
Norwalk, Sr., MF
Three-year starter anchored the Bears in 2014, racking up 10 goals and eight assists to earn all-FCIAC and all-state
first team honors. Bartush, who was also named an all-state scholar athlete, will play field hockey at Division II
Merrimack College next year. She registered 16 goals and 15 assists over the final two seasons of her high school
career.
KATRINA KRAUS
Greenwich Academy, Sr., FW
Veteran attacking player closed out her decorated career in style, totaling five goals and 19 assists while serving as
one of Greenwich Academy’s tri-captains. Kraus was named to the WNEPSA all-star team, NEPSAC all-
tournament team and also earned all-FAA honors.
MARISSA BAKER
Darien, Jr., FW
Talented offensive weapon powered the Blue Wave’s offense with a team-high 19 goals and 17 assists. Baker, a
tenacious player with the ability to work in tight spaces, was named to the all-FCIAC and all-state first teams. She
played a key role in helping Darien to a share of the Class L state championship.
GEORGIA CASSIDY
Darien, Jr., FW
Cassidy with teammate Marissa Baker to form one of the state’s most dynamic offensive duos. She finished second
on the team in scoring with 17 goals and 18 assists to earn all-FCIAC and all-state first team honors.
ANNE DUNSTER
Greenwich, Sr., D
Shutdown center back spearheaded Greenwich’s defense and was a flier on defensive penalty corners. Dunster was
always one of the fastest players on the field and was selected to the all-state and all-FCIAC first teams. She will
play lacrosse at Dickinson College next year.
MEREDITH RAPPAPORT
Wilton, So., D
Served as Wilton’s top defender and was also its most consistent all-around player. Rappaport, who had the rare
combination of elite stick skills and an innate feel for the game, was named to the all-FCIAC and all-state first
teams.
ELIZABETH BENNEWITZ
Staples, Sr., D
Two-time team MVP recorded one goal and four assists while serving as Staples’ starting center back and captain.
Bennewitz, who will play at Bowdoin College next year, helped the Wreckers make a run to the Class L state
quarterfinals and earned all-state and all-FCIAC first team honors. She was also named an all-state scholar athlete.
