“I think we needed the first goal and then we started to connect a lot better.” Coach Hynes was happy with how
the Warriors put together a complete-game effort.
“They’re learning from last week.
At Lakeland we didn’t play 60
minutes. You can’t’ do that, so
let’s correct that this game. They
learned after the first 30 minutes
that they had to come together and
did that. “she said, “Now they’re
recognizing what they need to
improve on and they’re executing
it, which is the hardest thing. So, I
think they’re maturing as a team
now, which is perfect.”
Darien head coach Mo Minicus, on the other hand, felt it was not her team’s best effort.
“It was a hard-fought game. (I’m) not very pleased with how my team played, though they played hard, I don’t
think they played well. No discredit to Wilton, though. They did their game plan, they played well. They were
clean, they were better,” She said. “It’s just a regular-season game. The post-season is what matters. Certainly,
we can come out and play as hard as we played today, but better, and it would be a different game.”
