Reading with Primay
The DEAR activity today was 'Very Good' the
engagement, enthusiasm, and evidence of clear
reading routines, plus the cross phase links. Meant
that a large majority of boys realised the value of
reading. When the boys read to me it was clear
also that the books were meeting their individual
needs appropriately chosen , showing
understanding of their own levels. Literacy is the
responsibility of all subjects so I was pleased that
there was a wide variety of books, not juts fiction,
and all staff were actively engaged modelling the
learning and demonstrating a learning culture.
