Hyperthyroidism
Hyperthyroidism is a disease when the
thyroid gland creates more thyroid
hormone than necessary. A common
form of hyperthyroidism is called
Graves Disease.
Graves Disease is a disorder wherein
the immune system attacks the gland.
This causes it to produce a lot of
hormones than necessary.
Treatment and Prevention
Antithyroid medications
Recommended food to eat:
Low-iodine foods
Cruciferous vegetables
Vitamins and minerals
Healthy fats
Spices
Food to avoid:
Gluten and caffeine
Soy and nitrates
Excess iodine
