Hyperthyroidism



          Hyperthyroidism is a disease when the
          thyroid  gland  creates  more  thyroid
          hormone  than  necessary.  A  common

          form  of  hyperthyroidism  is  called
          Graves Disease.

          Graves Disease is a disorder wherein
          the immune system attacks the gland.
          This causes it to produce a lot of
          hormones than necessary.



             Treatment and Prevention


            Antithyroid medications

            Recommended food to eat:

                    Low-iodine foods

                    Cruciferous vegetables

                    Vitamins and minerals
                    Healthy fats

                    Spices

            Food to avoid:

                    Gluten and caffeine

                    Soy and nitrates

                    Excess iodine
