Adrenal Gland


        Each  adrenal  gland  sits  on  top  of

        each  kidney.  This  is  important  for
        regulating  functions  such  as  blood
        pressure, heart rate and stress re-
        sponse.















          Adrenaline  increases  heart  rate,

            blood  pressure  and  metabolism  in
            reaction to stress.
          Aldosterone  controls  the  body’s

            salt and water balance

          Cortisol plays a role in response to
            stress.

          Dehydroepiandrosterone  sulfate
            (DHEA) aids in production of body
            odor  and  growth  of  body  hair  at

            puberty.
          Also produces testosterone.
