What about the record you achieved about being the fastest kicker in the world?
When I was living in Miami, the Spanish Television Network, Univision, called me wanting me to show-
case my talents. The show was named Control, which they asked me if I could set a world record. I was
shocked but happy that I set the record of executing 67 kicks in 10 seconds in other words ( 6,7 ) round
house kicks per second! Years later, I was visiting in my country of Ecuador, another television show
approached me to see how fast I could be with my hands. In 4 seconds, I executed 40 punches, (10 pun-
ches per second) which the tv story and video can be seen on my Facebook.
In 2017, you won an award at the Action On Film International Film Festival, what was that like?
Yes, it was such an amazing experience and delightful surprise! I went to the AOF international Film
Festival with a good friend and we just wanted to meet some of our heroes. We had sent in our film but
did not know we were nominated. As I was sitting next to Frank Dux, Art Camacho and James Lew, I
hear my name being called. As I looked up in shock, I won Break Out Action Star! I was so happy that
in my excitement, we forgot to take pictures or record a video, but the memory will stay with me forever!
What is the story behind the name, Danny Man?
Since I was a kid, it was a nick name that was given to me by my friends at school. Due to my abilities
within the martial arts, they said I was like a super hero like Batman, Spiderman, Superman, and Danny
Man was born. Therefore, instead of changing my name as an actor, the shorter version held strong.
Why did you move to the United States?
I have always dreamed of becoming an actor and integrating my martial arts through film. It has been
a childhood dream of mine to break into the entertainment industry, which led to me studying acting,
stunts, film making, and martial arts.
Do you have any movies slated for this year?
Yes, I just finished a friend of mine passion project he is a director from my country titled, in the 4th Di-
mension. It is a futuristic Sci-Fi action film. I play a martial artist from the future who is brought back
to present day to help save the world, along with other warriors. I am also filming another movie in my
country called, El Cineasta. I will be starring in this action comedy and shooting will end soon. This
experience has been a lot of fun, I get to star in the film and direct the action choreography.
You were selected in a worldwide casting for The Next Action Star film project. Can you tell us more
about this selection?
Yes, the amazing Del Weston from the Action On Film Festival chose me along with other talented
martial arts actors and actresses.
